- Work Content Study of the molecular mechanisms of sea anemone and clown fish symbiosis establishment. Candidate will take part in the comparative analysis of the genomes and transcriptomes of giant sea anemones, functional analysis of interactions between fish and anemone hosts. Our laboratory is located in Taipei and we also use facilities of Marine Research Station in Yilan. This project is a collaboration with the laboratories of Prof. Vincent Laudet at OIST (Japan) and ICOB.
- Qualifications Applicants should have a PhD degree with research experience in molecular biology laboratory. Good English communication skills are required. Experience in molecular biology and basic computer skills (ability to use UNIX-like operation systems, bash, R or other environments for statistical computing and graphics) are important. If you do not know some specific techniques - no problem - we will teach you, but good level of knowledge in cell / molecular biology is absolutely important for your success in this project.
