What are the responsibilities and job description for the Postdoctoral Associate - Cancer Genetics and Prevention position at Academic Affairs at Fox Chase Cancer Center?
ABOUT THE POSITION
The Testa Laboratory at the Fox Chase Cancer Center seeks an ambitious and self-motivated Postdoctoral Associate in cancer genetics and prevention. The lab has a longstanding focus on malignant mesothelioma, which has been linked to environmental (asbestos) and genetic factors, in particular, germline mutations of the BAP1 gene. The laboratory uses genetically engineered mouse (GEM) models to address fundamental questions about tumor susceptibility and progression and for testing naturally occurring phytochemicals and synthetic agents in preclinical cancer prevention and interception investigations. Currently, we are also beginning a new project to assess the effectiveness of combined photodynamic and immunotherapies for treating malignant mesothelioma in a mouse model. Additional details regarding the laboratory’s research can be found at https://www.foxchase.org/joseph-testa.
Requirements:
