Surgical Auth Advocate - USFTGP RCO

This position is responsible for obtaining Surgical Pre-Authorizations and/or Surgical Pre-Determinations for surgical procedures including injections and high end radiology for surgery providers in assigned locations.
Required Skills:
High School Diploma or GED
Work Experience and Additional Information
Three (3) to five (5) years years medical office experience to include prior authorization and experience with pre-determinations for surgical or high end procedures. Above average knowledge of medical terminology and familiarity with CPT and ICD-10 coding. Experience with insurance payors and submitting authorization requests.
Technical Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Familiarity with payor portals and follow-up on open procedures.
- Data entry skills with high levels of accuracy.
