Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and creative Visual Arts Instructor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for teaching various visual arts techniques and concepts to students of all ages. Duties
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that cover a range of visual arts topics, including drawing, painting, sculpture, and mixed media.
- Teach students the fundamentals of art techniques, color theory, composition, and design principles.
- Provide constructive feedback and guidance to students on their artwork, fostering a positive learning atmosphere.
- Organize and facilitate art exhibitions or showcases to display students' work.
- Maintain an organized classroom environment, ensuring all materials and supplies are readily available for student use.
- Collaborate with other instructors to integrate visual arts into interdisciplinary projects and programs.
- Stay current with trends in the visual arts field and incorporate new techniques into the curriculum as appropriate.
Qualifications
- A degree in Fine Arts, Art Education, or a related field from a recognized university is preferred.
- Previous teaching experience in visual arts or related subjects is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of various art mediums and techniques, along with the ability to convey this knowledge effectively to students.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage students of diverse backgrounds and skill levels.
