Academics Plus Charter Schools, Inc. (APCSI) is seeking an innovative and qualified Occupational Therapist to join our team for the 2025-2026 school year for grades K-12.
QUALIFICATIONS: Must hold a current and valid state Occupational Therapy license.
Master’s degree preferred.
REPORTS TO: LEA Special Education Supervisor
JOB GOALS: Implement occupational therapy services within building(s) assigned in keeping with district,
state, and federal guidelines. Evaluate and assess students to determine eligibility for
occupational therapy services and goals. Conduct regularly scheduled therapy for students
as needed. Complete progress monitoring and assessment paperwork for students in timely
manner to comply with state and federal laws and regulations and district policies.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Demonstrate a relentless commitment to academic achievement of all students.
2. Assess students with occupational therapy disorders and determine eligibility for services.
3. Plan and provide appropriate individual and group therapy to students consistent with occupational therapy goals contained in Individual Education Plans (IEP).
4. Participate in the IEP committee regarding interpretation of assessment data, appropriate placement, and goal setting for students with occupational therapy disorders according to district procedures.
5. Evaluate student progress and determine readiness for termination of therapy services.
6. Report student progress each nine week grading period to parent(s)/guardian(s).
7. Counsel and involve parents in the remedial process.
8. Collaborate with classroom teachers to plan and implement classroom-based activities to improve the skills of students.
9. Provide staff development training in assigned schools to assist school personnel in the identification and understanding of students with occupational therapy deficits.
10. Compile, maintain, and file all reports, records, and other documents required.
11. Comply with policies established by federal and state law, ADE rule, and APCS policy.
12. Present a positive role model for students that supports the mission of the school district.
13. Communicate positively with students, parents, visitors and staff.
14. Effectively and positively communicate orally and in writing.
15. Maintain a positive attitude and represent the school in a positive manner at all times.
16. All other duties as assigned.

Salary : $63,080 - $69,580
