Academics Plus Charter Schools, Inc. (APSCI) is seeking qualified applicants for the position of a 245 Day Technology Supervisor for the 2024-2025 school year. Starting date 1/05/2025.

POSITION TITLE: Technology Supervisor
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Associate Degree in related field. K-12 technology experience perferred.
REPORTS TO: Technology Director
JOB GOALS: The Technology Supervisor shall support all instructional programs through network administration, system analysis, programming, software engineering, website design and updates, and support services in the area of instructional and administrative technology.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
A. Department Supervisor -
- Supervise and evaluate technology team as determined by the Director.
- Provide mentoring, training, and guidance to subordinate personnel for the completion of information technology work essential for school operations.
- Demonstrate organizational skills, with attention to detail.
- Maintain professional behavior, attitude, appearance, and work ethic while representing APCSI in a positive manner at all times.
- Demonstrate effective customer service strategies to all district personnel.
- Maintain personal and professional technology skills, keeping current with industry trends and bringing that knowledge forward for the good of the organization and technology team.
B. Communication -
- Demonstrate effective, positive oral and written communication skills with all employees.
- Communicate highly technical issues in easily understandable terms where all non-technical employees can understand.
- Communicate effectively with outside agencies, contractors, and businesses that impact our day to day technology operations.
C. Hardware and Systems Software -
- Wide range of computer hardware, programming and software experience in a networked environment and a willingness to learn new and emerging technologies as they are introduced to the schools.
- Administer district networks, servers and computers systems.
- Provide system analysis and software engineering support as needed to all schools.
- Apply system analyst techniques and procedures to determine and resolve hardware and software issues.
- Determine system functional specifications for both hardware and software.
- Manage and serve as the primary contact for all aspects of the APCSI website.
D. Systems’ Operations and Maintenance -
- Demonstrate field experience working as a network administrator in a helpful, courteous, and tactful manner leading to timely and appropriate problem resolutions.
- Demonstrate knowledge and field experience with basic applications including word processing, spreadsheets, databases, and Google Workspace.
- Design, develop, test, and modify computer systems or programs based on user or design specifications.
- Install and configure new switches, servers, and system applications necessary for district operations.
E. Cyber Security and Student Data Security -
- Work with confidential and time-sensitive matters.
- Assist with creating a strong data security culture within APCSI and increasing data security awareness.
- Assist with developing and implementing Cyber Awareness Training for all staff and students.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Mental Demands - Work with frequent interruptions; maintain emotional control under stress; maintain a clear focus on customer service; and ability to communicate effectively (verbal/written) in any environment.
Physical Demands - Repetitive hand motions; prolonged use of computer; moderate standing, stooping, bending, and lifting; driving APCSI vehicles; and ability to lift /carry 50 lbs.
