Reading/Math Tutor

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable tutor to provide personalized educational support to students. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of various subjects and be able to adapt their teaching methods to meet the individual needs of learners. This position is perfect for individuals passionate about education and eager to help students achieve their academic goals.

Duties

• Conduct small group tutoring sessions in Reading and Math with K-12 students
• Provide clear explanations of complex concepts and foster an engaging learning environment.
• Assist students with homework assignments and exam preparation.
• Administer our proven programs, record student scores and progress, and provide feedback to the director

Requirements

• Strong knowledge and understanding of vocabulary, reading comprehension, and basic math computation skills (K-6 minimum, Algebra and Geometry knowledge preferred).
• Previous experience working with children or adults in an educational setting is helpful.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain concepts clearly and effectively.
• Patience and adaptability to accommodate different student needs.
• A passion for helping others succeed academically.
• A degree in a any field or current college enrollment preferred.
• After school and Saturday hours required.
• Must be able to pass a criminal background check.

Pay: $12.00 - $14.00 per hour
