Elementary ELA Reading Interventionist
School-Year 2025-2026
Full-time, 10- month positions
Start Date: August 12, 2025
The Reading Interventionist will coordinate the English reading intervention program, including but not limited to: assessment and progress monitoring, data collection and analysis, and creation of reading success plans. This position will also provide direct support to students via small groups or push-in support. This person will also facilitate training or professional development for the ELA team.
Status of Position
This is a full-time position with Académie Lafayette. This is an exempt position pursuant to the U.S. Department of Labor.
Reporting
The ELA Reading Interventionist reports to their campus/building principal.
Responsibilities
- Provide research-based direct instruction in small intervention groups
- Participate in ongoing professional development in reading instruction
- Assist building principal and district leadership in coordination of school assessment plan
- Provide support to grade level teachers in strategies to support at-risk students
- Work collaboratively with the building team to provide parent support and education
- Maintain, analyze and disseminate student data
- Create and maintain Reading Success Plans to meet required state deadlines
- Collaborate with district intervention team and leadership
- Participate in the district professional development committee
- Other responsibilities as assigned by principal
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in elementary education or related field
- Hold or be eligible for a Missouri teaching certificate in elementary education, with preference for candidates who have special reading certification
- Proven experience as a teacher
Other Requirements
- Must pass a state and federal fingerprint background check through MACHS.
- Must be registered or get registered with the Family Care Safety Registry.
