We are seeking a passionate and experienced individual to join our high school athletics program as a Competitive Cheer/Dance Assistant Coach. The Competitive Assistant Coach will play a crucial role in guiding and inspiring our student-athletes to both support other varsity athletics teams and excel in the competitive cheerleading/dance arena.
Responsibilities:

Team Leadership: Lead and coach the high school competitive cheerleading/dance team with enthusiasm, promoting teamwork, sportsmanship, and skill development.

Training and Practices: Develop and implement effective training programs and practice sessions to enhance athletes' skills in stunts, tumbling, jumps, and dance routines.

Competition Preparation: Strategically prepare the team for competitive events, ensuring they are well-prepared both physically and mentally.
- Support Other Sports: Attend and supervise the cheerleading/dance teams at other varsity athletics events.

Skill Assessment: Assess the individual strengths and weaknesses of team members to tailor coaching methods and provide personalized guidance.

Safety Protocols: Prioritize and enforce safety protocols during practices and performances to create a secure environment for all athletes.

Collaboration: Work collaboratively with school staff, parents, and athletic department personnel to foster a positive and supportive environment for the team.

Player Development: Mentor and motivate student-athletes, fostering personal and athletic growth both on and off the field.
Requirements:
- Valid AR Teaching license (or equivalent) K-12
- Coaching endorsement/AAA certificate
- Previous experience in coaching competitive cheerleading/dance at the high school level (preferred).
- Knowledge of the rules and regulations governing competitive cheerleading.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to motivate and inspire student-athletes.
Stipend amount to be determined based on coaching assignment(s).
