In this role, the successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and executing go-to-market strategies, achieving revenue targets, and expanding product offerings. They will work closely with global executives to drive sales growth, enhance market penetration, and establish long-term strategic partnerships.

By gaining a deep understanding of our business and education products, the Director of Business Development will be responsible for formulating customer programs, driving revenue growth, and cultivating strong relationships with both existing and prospective partners.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the executive team to develop and implement effective sales strategies.
  • Identify and target key market segments to strategically position educational products and services.
  • Assess revenue potential and establish sales quotas and performance benchmarks for the sales team.
  • Leverage the existing network to build a robust customer base and drive market expansion.
  • Be an integral part of the organization's strategic think-tank, identifying and exploring new business opportunities across diverse customer segments, industries, and global markets.
  • Develop and execute plans to increase market reach and drive revenue through sales growth and new partnerships.
  • Implement go-to-market strategies for diverse product portfolios across international markets.

Skills and Competencies

  • 8-10 years of experience in sales and business development, with a proven track record of surpassing revenue growth targets.
  • Strong ability to build and maintain productive relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Previous experience in education, edtech, or sales of educational products / services is preferred.
  • Exceptional leadership, negotiation, and deal-closing skills, with a strategic approach to market expansion.
