Job Description: High School Math
POSITION DESCRIPTION: ACE is seeking a certified high school mathematics who has experience teaching Algebra II through AP Statistics for the 2025-2026 school year.
JOB SUMMARY:
A high school math teacher will be responsible for developing in each student an interest in and the foundation for working with upper level math instruction.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum of a Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in mathematics
- Hold a valid GaPSC
- Gifted endorsement preferred; AP experience a plus
- Successful classroom teaching experience 3-5 years
- Good communication skills with students, colleagues and parent.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Must create and deliver high-quality, engaging lessons in the musical arts reflecting the Georgia Standards of Excellence.
- Must be able to plan and develop engaging, rigorous instructional strategies to meet the math requirements for ACE.
- Must provide instruction that encourages students to develop an understanding and appreciation for math.
- Must work in coordination with the other math teachers to coordinate math instruction across the grade bands both vertically and horizontally.
- Must maintain a safe, orderly, organized classroom where teaching and learning is a priority.
- Maintain the necessary records of student progress toward academic goals; meet deadlines for submitting data to other departments.
- Must implement and support school-wide policies.
- Must communicate routinely with students, parents, colleagues and administrators and establish open lines of communications with all.
- Must willingly take part in duty assignments as assigned by the administration.
- Must be willing to take part in after school activities involving students such as concerts, games, etc.
- Maintain professional competence through in-service education activities provided by the school and/or in self-selected professional growth activities
- Perform any other duties as may be assigned by Administration
