SUMMARY:

We are seeking an enthusiastic Science Instructor with a specialization in robotics, coding, and anatomy to teach multi-level science courses. The ideal candidate will have experience in utilizing project-based learning techniques to engage students in hands-on learning experiences. Additionally, the candidate should be capable of providing intervention support in career literacy within the classroom setting, preparing students for future academic and professional pursuits in STEM fields.

ESSENTIAL TASKS:

• Curriculum Planning and Implementation:
  • Develop and deliver engaging lessons on robotics, coding, and 3D printing that align with the curriculum and educational standards.
  • Foster a hands-on learning environment that promotes critical thinking, problem-solving, and creativity.
  • Integrate real-world applications of robotics, coding, and 3D printing to showcase the relevance of these skills in various career pathways.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to design interdisciplinary projects that enhance students? understanding of engineering concepts.
  • Provide individualized support to students to ensure mastery of technical skills and concepts.
  • Organize and supervise extracurricular activities related to robotics, coding, and 3D printing, such as competitors and workshops.
  • Stay updated on the latest advancement in STEM education and incorporate innovative teaching methodologies into the curriculum.
• Classroom Management:
  • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes respect, collaboration, and active participation.
  • Establish clear expectations for behavior and academic performance and enforce consistent classroom rules and routines.
  • Manage student behavior effectively, address conflicts, and provide positive reinforcement.
  • Maintain an organized and conducive learning environment.
  • Assessment and Progress Monitoring:
  • Assess student progress regularly using a variety of assessment tools and techniques.
  • Provide timely and constructive feedback to students to support their growth and development.
  • Use assessment data to inform instructional decisions and differentiate instruction accordingly.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to analyze student performance data and identify strategies for improvement.
• Communication and Collaboration:
  • Establish effective communication channels with parents, guardians, and other stakeholders.

• Qualifications:
  • Bachelor?s degree in mathematics, Education, or related field (master?s degree preferred).
  • Previous experience in teaching robotics, coding, or 3D printing to students at the middle or high school level.
  • Proficiency in programming languages commonly used in robotics and coding education (e.g., Python, Scratch, Java)
  • Familiarity with 3D design software and 3D printing technologies.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with students, parents, and colleagues.
