BARTENDER | PART-TIME
In the role of Bartender, you will be responsible for preparing the bar room for table and bar service, soliciting meal/beverage orders, and serving residents and guests with the goal of providing an exceptional experience for all patrons served at Academy Mapleton Hill (AMH).

Responsibilities
- Organize and operate the bar room in conformance with AMH’s operating schedules and standards
- Take/deliver drink and food orders for patrons of the bar counter as well as tables within the bar room
- Fulfill drink orders in support of the dining rooms
- Be skilled in preparing cocktails and recommending drink options for patrons
- Set up the bar room after each service to include preparing product, cleaning, and restocking for the next service
- Develop a menu for standard and specialty wine and drink offerings
- Order/stock beverages and bar supplies as needed, within budget guidelines
- Continually seek knowledge about wine, cocktail and beverage trends and offerings
- Interact with residents in a friendly and respectful manner, learning their individual preferences
- Work special events including concerts, social hours, lectures, and other opportunities, as needed
- Fill-in as a dining server if unexpected needs arise in the dining room
- Communicate in real time with manager(s) about any issues with a coworker, resident or guest
- Protect residents’ rights, records, and privacy as required by federal, state, and local regulations
- Practice AMH’s Service Standards in all work situations
- Maintain appropriate levels of confidentiality when handling sensitive employee, resident, and Academy Boulder matters
- Be organized and efficient in managing workload
- Monitor and reply to messages within AMH’s HRIS system, Paylocity
Qualifications
- Proficiency in English
- Restaurant / bar / hospitality experience
- Effective verbal and written communication skills; personable with a good sense of humor
- Ability to work evening hours (generally 4 – 10pm)
- Flexibility to work occasional holidays
- Food and beverage knowledge
- Proficiency with Word and Excel programs, a plus
