The Human Resources Coordinator is responsible for providing administrative support for the Academy’s Human Resources department and demonstrates excellent customer service and confidentiality in the conduct of all job responsibilities. In this role, you will be the team’s first contact for employees by supporting on-site needs and processing the general HR inbox, and by welcoming employees on their first day of work. This position requires understanding and application of Academy rules, laws and policies to support human resources department initiatives.
This is an on-site position, on campus in San Francisco.
Onboarding & Offboarding Support
- Review all HR and Payroll paperwork with new employees; ensure accurate and timely completion of all such paperwork; provide new employees with information on receiving first paychecks.
- Process onboarding paperwork to ensure timely completion of Workday action items and provide Payroll with necessary documents to process in their ADP system.
- Review and monitor the I-9 Everywhere portal to ensure all staff I-9 documents are completed within the required compliance time frame. Immediately download the I-9 for any staff or student worker who is an alien authorized to work and send to the Manager and Director of Human Resources who will confirm that the individual is authorized to work for the Academy.
- Manage the offboarding process when an employee exits. Coordinate with the IT and Payroll teams to ensure prompt completion of final checks and return of company property.
