Summary / Objective :
The Academy NY Event Assistant will support Academy membership screenings and special events in New York. The primary responsibilities are to assist with front-of-house operations, including ticket management, ushering, and customer service. This role requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work well under pressure. Previous experience in a theater setting and working with vendors is preferred, but not required.
Expected hours are between 4-12 per week.
Essential Functions of the Job :
- Assist with front-of-house operations, including ticket distribution and ushering.
- Provide excellent customer service to Academy members and guests.
- Assist with tech checks and support the Production Lead as needed.
- Help with hospitality set-up and post-screening events.
- Ensure safety accessibility protocols are followed at all times.
Required Competencies :
Required Vaccination : Full vaccination against COVID-19 is required, including any booster vaccinations as applicable. Exception : Medical and religious accommodations approved by the Office of People & Culture.
Compensation : The expected salary for this role is $25.00 per hour. The actual base pay offered may be determined by factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, education, and other factors permitted by law. Decisions will be made on a case-by-case basis.
