Position: Intervention Specialist
Full time position for the 2025-2026 school year to support students in grades K-8 with specific learning needs.
The Intervention Specialist will:
- Provide instruction and support to students in K-8 who have been identified with specific learning needs in accordance with the objectives and goals stated on each student’s IEP.
Intervention Specialist Job Responsibilities and Duties
- Identifies and assess a child’s unique needs
- Collaborates with parents, teachers, and relevant persons to create and implement individualized learning plans
- Maintains and analyzes each student’s academic progress and behavioral records
- Performs consultations with relevant parties to address student’s special educational, behavioral, and social needs
- Advises other school personnel and colleagues on proper interventions and progress of special needs students
- Prepare reports and oversees data collection to provide as evidence of interventions and student performance for both suspected learning needs and those identified by the IEP.

- Ability to build on others’ ideas, capitalize on others’ strengths, and effectively share responsibility
- A willingness to participate in or develop extracurricular activities, additional school initiatives, and support staff committees
- Maintain high levels of confidentiality in relation to private or privileged information
- Perform additional related duties and tasks as assigned by the school principal or designee
Professional Requirements:
Intervention Specialist Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Special Education, K-8 preferred, but K-3 also to be considered
- Teacher’s license
- Criminal and employment background check (BCI,FBI)
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
