Start Date : TBA- Based on need
Type : Full-time position. Work hours are generally 8 : 15 am - 4 : 45 pm.
SUMMARY
Reporting to the Assistant Principal - Culture, the core responsibilities of an Academy of Visual and Performing Arts Paraprofessional, at a minimum, include :
Instructional Support
- Assist teacher in preparation and management of classroom activities and administrative requirements. Work under the supervision of a certified teacher.
- Assist teachers in preparing instructional materials and classroom displays.
- Conduct instructional exercises assigned by the teacher; work with individual students or small groups.
- Assist with administration and scoring of objective testing instruments or work assignments.
- Help maintain a neat and orderly classroom.
- Help with inventory, care, and maintenance of equipment.
- Help teachers keep administrative records and prepare required reports.
- Provide orientation and assistance to substitute teachers.

Academy of Visual and Performing Arts compensation philosophy is to pay competitively for the PK-12 charter market to ensure equity across our institution. The salary band for this role is $22,500 - $25,000. AVPA is committed to internal pay equity throughout our organization. Because of this, we do not negotiate salary offers outside our salary bands.
