Position: Integration Engineer
Location: Remote (preference to candidates in Austin, Orlando, or Boston) with 5-10% travel

About The Role: Acadeum is seeking an Integration Engineer to design, build, and deploy client-specific solutions, bridging institutional data with our Edtech platform. This role demands technical expertise and strong communication skills, as you will be the primary technical point of contact throughout the client integration process. You will also shape our product roadmap and automate internal business functions to enhance efficiency and support our growing network of educational institutions. The ideal candidate thrives in a collaborative startup environment where customer impact is key.
Responsibilities:
● Technical Integration & Implementation
● Design, develop, and implement custom solutions to integrate client data systems with Acadeum's platform
● Oversee the technical implementation process for custom integrations throughout the client lifecycle, utilizing and expanding our APIs as needed.
● Create and maintain documentation for integration processes and client-specific solutions
● Automate and streamline internal workflows, processes, and tasks to increase operational efficiency and productivity within the organization.
● Serve as technical lead during client implementations, providing guidance and problem resolution
● Support pre-sales activities with technical demonstrations and consulting
● Deliver ongoing technical support to ensure successful client outcomes
● Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues for clients with an emphasis on identifying and solving the root cause
● Gather, analyze, and report on customer insights to inform our product roadmap
● Drive the implementation and adoption of new product capabilities
Required Qualifications and Preferences:
● 5-7 years of experience combining technical implementation, product management, and client support
● Bachelor's degree in business, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field preferred
● Strong familiarity and understanding of APIs, data exchange protocols, SaaS platforms, and cloud services
● Hands-on experience with, and a solid understanding of relational database systems, including data modeling, query optimization, and schema design.
● Practical knowledge of version control systems like Git, issue tracking tools like JIRA, and other development tools that facilitate collaboration and streamline the development process.
● Domain expertise in educational technology or academic systems preferred
● Excellent project management and organizational skills
● Outstanding written and verbal communication abilities
● Demonstrated problem-solving skills and analytical thinking
