What are the responsibilities and job description for the Business Office Clerk position at Acadia Behavioral Health (Pioneer Behavioral Health)?
Job Descriptions:
Provide strong customer service
Filling and Scanning
Review and submit claims to third party payors .
Assist with monthly invoicing to guarantors for continued care.
Registration and charge entry for physicians services provided in accordance with policy and procedure.
Collection and follow up on outstanding accounts receivable. Keep collections list current.
Review and resolve accounts with credit balances. Request refunds and or adjustments.
Document all collection efforts and contacts in patient system.
Inform Business Director of any potential issues which may delay payment and or issues with specific payors.
Resubmit claims as necessary.
Maintain log of any claims resubmissions, rebill log.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
· High school diploma or equivalent required.
· 2-3 years medical billing/collections experiences required.
