Overview

Greenleaf Behavioral Health Hospital , located in Valdosta, GA, is a 113-bed hospital dedicated to the treatment of mental health and chemical dependency concerns that are affecting adolescents and adults. Treatment at Greenleaf Behavioral Health Hospital also includes a partial hospitalization program for adults in an outpatient clinic located on the same campus. Greenleaf provides a safe, structured environment through the delivery of group, family, and individual counseling, as well as through medication management services when appropriate

As the Director of Outpatient Services , you will lead the operational management of clinical support activities and functions on a day-to-day basis. Your role involves planning and implementing program goals, objectives, and resource allocation, ensuring the effective delivery of services within assigned areas of responsibility. Overseeing the program's budget and policies, you will provide staff management, including hiring, development, and training, to ensure the efficient operation of the department. Your expertise will be crucial in developing and implementing policies and procedures consistent with hospital standards and regulatory requirements. Additionally, you will supervise the maintenance of patient records to ensure quality documentation and compliance. With a Master's Degree in a behavioral health field and extensive experience, including management, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining compliance with standards and ensuring patient safety is a top priority.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement program goals, objectives, personnel, resources and equipment.
• Implement the approved program plan objectives, timetables, expected outcome and measures for assigned areas of responsibility.
• Oversee the program's budget and policies regarding participant involvement, program requirements, and benefits. Work may involve directing counselors, clinical staff or other facility / clinic staff involved in the delivery of services through the program. Provides management and oversight for the facility outpatient program.
• Provide staff management to including hiring, development, training, performance management and communication to ensure effective and efficient department operation.
• Develop and assist with the development and implementation of policies and procedures consistent with those of the hospital, to ensure efficient operation of the program.
• Ensure that the unit maintains compliance with standards, laws and certification standards, including those established by JCAHO, Medicare and other regulatory agencies.
• Supervise the maintenance of patient records to ensure required quality documentation and compliance with policies and procedures.
• Make recommendations for, develop, and carry out improvements to the program to meet changing mission parameters and requirements.
• Demonstrate a positive, empathetic and professional attitude towards customers always. When patient needs are not met, acknowledge and work to resolve complaints. Recognize that patient safety is a top priority.

Qualifications

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

• Master’s Degree in a behavioral health field required
• ​LPC, LCSW, LCPC, LMFT or equivelent required
• Four or more years’ experience working in behavioral health.
• Two or more years’ management experience required.

LICENSES/DESIGNATIONS/CERTIFICATIONS:

• CPR and de-escalation/restraint certification required (training available upon hire and offered by facility).
• First aid may be required based on state or facility.
