Hiring: Testing Psychologist (Contract, Part-Time)

Speciality: Assessment and diagnosis of Autism, ADHD and executive functioning challenges, Learning Disorders (including Dyslexia), Giftedness and 2e, and co-occurring mental health conditions

Practice Description: Acadia Psychology and Learning Services, LLC, located at 149 W. Schrock Road in Westerville, Ohio, specializes in psychological evaluations for children as young as 4, adolescents, and young adults up to age 22. The practice is owned and operated by Jennifer Jury, MS.Ed, CAGS, NCSP, Licensed Independent School Psychologist. Since opening in July 2023, our heart-led practice has quickly gained recognition for delivering high-quality, comprehensive, and neuro-affirming services tailored to each individual. Our referral network includes parents, primary care physicians, mental health professionals, speech-language pathologists, occupational therapists, and educational specialists. Currently, we operate as a private pay practice, dedicated to offering personalized care that prioritizes the well-being of our clients.

Position Description:Acadia Psychology and Learning Services, LLC is looking for a compassionate and dedicated Psychologist to perform comprehensive psychological evaluations for children, adolescents, and young adults. This is a part-time 1099 Contractor role, offering flexibility in case selection—you can accept or decline cases at your discretion.

We are seeking a contractor with experience in the assessment and diagnosis of Autism, ADHD, Learning Disorders, Giftedness/2e, and co-occurring mental health conditions. We are particularly interested in candidates with expertise in recognizing nuanced presentations of Autism and ADHD, especially in girls and individuals with pervasive demand avoidance. Additional areas of clinical focus are preferred. Proficiency in dyslexia assessment, diagnosis, and intervention is essential, along with an understanding of school systems and the ability to provide customized, practical recommendations for educational environments.

Primary Job Responsibilities:

  • Complete a range of comprehensive psychological evaluations (including interviews, behavioral observations, standardized testing) for children, adolescents, young adults, tailored to the referral needs of the client and to determine diagnostic clarity and treatment planning.
  • Actively collaborate with schools, physicians, therapists, and other involved parties throughout the evaluation process, if needed.
  • Prepare detailed assessment reports and provide clear and compassionate feedback to clients, families, and referring professionals.
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in accordance with ethical and legal standards.

  • Can accept or decline cases offered based on availability. Testing takes place during daytime hours M-F or Saturdays.
  • Autonomy in scheduling clients for intakes, testing sessions, and feedback sessions. Telehealth option available for intakes and feedback sessions.
  • Administrative support for scheduling, if desired.
  • Freedom to structure evaluations, reports, and recommendations according to clinical best practices while adhering to client needs.
  • Access to HIPAA compliant EHR, client messaging and telehealth platform (Sessions Health).
  • Opportunities for collaboration and case review. Shared office suite with two pediatric psychologists and pediatric mental health therapist.

Qualifications Required:

  • Ph.D. or Psy.D. in Clinical or School Psychology from an APA-accredited program.
  • Licensed Psychologist in good standing with the Ohio Board of Psychology.
  • Extensive expertise in psychological assessment and diagnosis of Autism, ADHD, Giftedness and Twice-Exceptionality (2e), a variety of learning disorders (with a focus on dyslexia), and co-occurring clinical conditions.
  • Proven experience conducting assessments with children and adolescents.
  • Professional training and proficiency in administering the ADOS-2 (also MIGDAS-2 is preferred)
  • Understanding of school systems, with the ability to deliver customized, actionable recommendations for educational environments.
  • Exceptional skills in writing clear, comprehensive reports.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with excellent verbal communication abilities.
  • Highly organized with a solid work ethic.
  • Responsible for their own general and professional liability insurance.
