JOB SUMMARY : Join our dedicated team as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), where you will provide efficient and timely basic life support care and transportation for the sick and injured. You'll operate in accordance with local, state, national, and organizational standards of practice.
EQUIPMENT :
You will work with a variety of essential medical equipment including ambulances, stretchers, spinal immobilization devices, radios, oxygen bottles, and more to ensure effective patient care.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES : Your day-to-day functions will include :
- Conducting thorough examinations of patients to identify signs and symptoms of illness or injury.
- Administering basic life support care in accordance with established protocols during transport.
- Safely handling patients when transferring them to and from the ambulance.
- Efficiently transporting patients to medical facilities while maintaining their safety and comfort.
- Transferring patient care information effectively to receiving personnel.
- Documenting all patient conditions and treatments accurately.
- Regularly inventorying and testing equipment to ensure operational readiness.
- Maintaining cleanliness and proper serviceability of the ambulance and equipment.
- Utilizing extrication tools and controlling patient surroundings when necessary.
- Driving the ambulance safely, adhering to company driving protocols.
- Maintaining compliance with all communication regulations.
- Participating in mandatory meetings and maintaining station duties.
- Ordering and managing supplies and equipment inventories as needed.
- Training and mentoring EMT-Basic students and new employees as required.
