Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Paramedic to provide pre-hospital advanced, intermediate and basic life support care and transportation of the sick and injured. The successful candidate will work in accordance with local, state, national and company standards of practice.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough examinations of patients for signs and symptoms of illness/injury
- Provide careful handling of patients to and from the ambulance
- Document all aspects of patient condition and treatment on EMS run reports
- Operate/ drive the ambulance in a safe and efficient manner
- Follow all FCC regulations when communicating via electronic communications equipment
- Order supplies and equipment as needed
- Complete assigned duties to place the ambulance and equipment back in service
- Train new employees as directed
- Precept EMT-Basic, Intermediate and Paramedic students as directed
Requirements:
- National and/or State certification as an Emergency Medical Technician-Paramedic
- Knowledge of company protocols, operational procedures and safety policies
Work Environment:
The Paramedic will work in a fast-paced environment with varying conditions including hazardous materials calls, electrical emergencies, vehicular accidents, outdoor emergency settings, and more.
