What are the responsibilities and job description for the Resolution Specialist (Liability) position at Acadian Companies?
- Job Location:** Lafayette, LA - This position is based in the office.
- Summary of Duties:** Responsible for processing, compiling, analyzing the receivables for assigned payor type.
- Claim status check and resolution, including initiating contact with appropriate Liability carrier
- Attorney and third-party payer
- Claim rejection/denial and resolution, including initiating contact with appropriate Liability carrier, Attorney and third-party payer
- Monitor payment variance with resolution
- Managing problematic payor issues
- Escalating payor issues
- Liaison for different payor issues in that particular unit
- Communicating with assigned Liability carrier, Attorney and third-party payer for claims with escalated disputes
- Assisting employees with escalated payor issues
- Process payments including reconciling unapplied cash
- Handle inbound calls
- Verification tasks specific to payer type- new payor request
- Ensure accuracy of demographic information
- Some training of employees required
- Other responsibilities, as assigned
- 3-5 years of Liability, Attorney and/or Insurance Billing experience required, or Bachelor's Degree and 3 or more years of Billing experience including ICD-10 coding
- Proficient in Google, MS Office Suite or related software
- Understands HIPAA and Red Flag guidelines
- Problem-solving abilities
- Excellent communication and customer relation skills
- Familiarity with the Liability Reduction Process and other requests from Attorney's and Liability Carriers when it relates to ambulance transportation.
- Demonstrate a strong work ethic and work independently
- Possess strong organizational skills
- Punctual with strong attendance history
- Ability to adhere to productivity goals, departmental and company guidelines, dress code, policy and procedures
