What are the responsibilities and job description for the Data Coordination Internship position at Acadiana Cane Cutters?
Acadiana Cane Cutters is a summer collegiate baseball team which has been part of the Texas Collegiate League for 14 years.
It is the hope of this organization that college students and recent graduates are equipped with the necessary tools to begin or continue their career in sports. Our goal is for those who participate in our internship program to understand the duties and responsibilities that come with maintaining a sports organization.
The Cane Cutters Organization is looking for two (2) candidates for the role of Data Coordination Interns. This position will be in charge of keeping the official score for the game. It is imperative that anyone who applies for this position has a deep understanding of baseball and has had experience in “keeping a book” for a game at an official capacity.
Requirements are but are not limited to the following
- Becoming familiar with the Pointstreak software
- Keeping score for Cane Cutters home games
- Keeping the official book for Cane Cutters home games
- Scoring plays, pitches, and errors at an official capacity
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- MUST have an extensive knowledge of baseball
- MUST have experience in keeping an official score book for baseball
- Experience in running a scoreboard for baseball is preferred
- Able to work in a fast paced and ever changing environment
- Positive attitude
- Strong Self Starter who is trustworthy and reliable
- Able to work in a collaborative environment
- Must be willing and able to work all 24 Cane Cutter home games for the 2025 season as well as a maximum of 3 playoff games
- Must be willing and able to work a flexible schedule that includes nights and weekends

End Date: August 6th, 2025
