Responsibilities
- Provide personal care assistance to clients, including bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting.
- Support clients with daily living activities and promote independence while ensuring their safety.
- Monitor and document vital signs and changes in client health status.
- Assist with memory care activities for clients with cognitive impairments.
- Implement care plans developed by healthcare professionals or social workers.
- Lift and transfer clients safely using appropriate techniques and equipment.
- Administer first aid as needed and respond to emergencies promptly.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients at all times.
- Communicate effectively with clients, families, and team members regarding care needs and progress.
Skills
- Experience in memory care or working with individuals with disabilities is highly desirable.
- Background in nursing or social work is a plus.
- Strong understanding of assisted living protocols and home care practices.
- Ability to perform first aid and monitor vital signs accurately.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a compassionate approach to caregiving.
- Physical stamina to lift clients and perform tasks that require mobility.
