Job Description / Essential Elements :
VARSITY COACH
Overview
Under general supervision, is responsible for organizing and training the varsity team, arranges for transportation and supervises the team at all games, practices and other activities. The duties of this position involve a wide variety of responsibilities, including supervising the conduct of players and spectators at games, being able to act decisively in emergency situations, and maintaining order in crowds.
Major Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with the rules, regulations, and expectations of the CIF, NCS,
DFAL, ACALANES DISTRICT, School and Athletic Department.
a) Accident Reports. The coach is responsible for completing an Accident Report Form immediately and forwarding it to the school nurse.
b) First Aid Kit. Each coach is responsible for having a First Aid Kit available at all contests and practices both home and away. Emergency information should be included in the First Aid Kit.
c) If a student has been placed on medical restriction by a physician, he should not be permitted to resume practice or play until the doctor has forwarded a written medical release. This is for your own protection.

CIF Coaching Certification (NFHS, ASEP)

Anti-Sexual Harassment Awareness Training Form (required annually)
CPR Card (required annually)
First Aid Certification (required every three years)
TB Test (required every four years)
California Department of Justice Fingerprint clearance
