ACAMS is also a leader in its field in international conference attendance and publishing, and two of the sectors’ top-read titles are the multiple award winning ACAMS Today and ACAMS’ moneylaundering.com.   Opportunity at a Glance ACAMS Instructional Designer(s), working under the guidance of the Sr. Manager Instructional Design, is responsible for developing high-quality, engaging, and effective learning materials for ACAMS certification and certificate course products. This role involves transforming complex subject matter into learner-centered content tailored to meet the needs of professionals preparing for certifications and credentials. Collaborating closely with ACAMS Product Managers, Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), and Media Production, the Instructional Designer ensures all content aligns with defined learning objectives, audience needs, and business goals. The ideal candidate has experience with online learning design, understands audience learning levels, and is skilled in using content authoring tools to create impactful, interactive materials that enhance the learning experience.   Responsibilities Content Development: Design and develop instructional materials, assessments, and interactive elements for certification and certificate course products, ensuring alignment with learning objectives and industry standards. Build Relationships with SMEs: Establish strong relationships with SMEs to ensure content accuracy, relevance, and quality, facilitating effective communication and alignment on learning goals. Transform Subject Matter Content: Collaborate with SMEs to interpret complex subject matter and transform it into clear, concise, and engaging learning materials suitable for certification exam preparation and professional development. Capture Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSA): Develop content that captures and conveys essential KSAs needed for learners to succeed, ensuring it aligns with the defined learning objectives and certification requirements. Clear and Concise Writing: Write instructional content that is clear, concise, and optimized for learner comprehension, enhancing the overall learning experience. Content Re-Use and Optimization: Work with knowledge management resources to develop content that can be reused across multiple courses and formats, ensuring consistency and accuracy across certification products. Collaboration with Product and Media Teams: Partner with Product Managers to understand product goals, target audience needs, and commercial priorities; collaborate with Media Production to integrate multimedia elements that enhance the certification learning experience. Quality Assurance: Ensure all instructional materials meet high standards of accuracy, clarity, and accessibility, adapting content based on the learning level of the target audience.   Skills, Qualifications, and Experience · Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Education, Learning & Development, or a related field. · 3 years of experience in instructional design, preferably within the professional training, EdTech, or financial services sector, professional certification experience a plus · Strong writing skills with the ability to create clear, concise, and engaging instructional content optimized for learning. · Proven ability to capture and convey Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSA) needed to support learner success within certification products. · Proven ability to build and maintain productive relationships with SMEs to ensure accurate, high-quality content. · Knowledge of content re-use strategies and collaboration with knowledge management resources to optimize content development. · Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams. · Detail-oriented, proactive, and learner-focused, with a commitment to creating high-quality learning experiences. · Must be a fluent English speaker, additional modern languages preferred · Ability to work flexible (off)hours when working on deadlines and occasionally in line with other ACAMS regions’ time zones · Ability to travel if required   EEO We are proud to be an EEO employer M/F/D/V. Salary : $80,000 - $85,000
