Title: Avionics Technician
Location: Cape Canaveral, FL
Hours: 40 hours/week (1st shift)
Length: Temp to Direct
- Avionics Technicians are responsible for fabricating wire harnesses and cables used in electrical and electronic equipment systems for satellites and space system components for the International Space Station, Artemis, and Orion programs as well as commercial programs.
- Technicians are also responsible for assembling satellite buses and subsystems, and assembly of other complex electromechanical projects.
- Measures, cuts, solders, and or crimps wire and contacts to fabricate wire harnesses.
- Reads instructions, such as work orders, diagrams, and wire lists to determine materials needed and sequence of assembly.
- Assembles cables, satellite buses, and electromechanical systems.
- Performs potting of connectors to protect from water/dust intrusion.
- Labels and packages cable harness assemblies for shipment.
- Adhere to all Quality Management Systems standards and procedures.
- Treat all team members with respect and dignity ensuring a collaborative culture is continually developed and maintained.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Skills / Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum of 1-year experience as an electrical/cable fabrication technician or other industry experience
- Minimum of 1 year experience working with soldering.
- Minimum of 1 year experience with engineering drawings, wire diagrams, and electrical schematics.
Preferred Skills / Qualifications:
- Associate's Degree
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365 including Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams.

- Electromechanical systems and assembly background.
- IPC J-Std-001 and/or IPC-620 certification, NASA 8739.4 certified
Job Type: Temp-to-hire
Pay: $26.00 - $30.00 per hour
