Interested?Here's what you'd do : -Responsible for planning, installing, configuring, and administering databases, including base definition, structure, documentation, long and short-range requirements, operational guidelines, protection, and logical-physical database design. -Formulates and monitors policies, procedures, and standards relating to database management. -Identifies, evaluates, and recommends relevant COTS software tools. -Establishes and maintains security and integrity controls. -Responsible for performance monitoring, database tuning, identification, and correction of performance bottlenecks. -Responsible for overall database reliability and availability, including database architectures, upgrades, performance, tools, and software installation and maintenance and installation of application software germane to database repositories. -Design and develop appropriate software to provide essential architectural functionality not present in COTS software solutions. -Collaborate with engineering, security, and IT functions to ensure databases, application software, and data quality and integrity.-Works under general direction and guidance within standard processes for non-routine tasks.-Communicates with contacts in own team to explain and interpret information.-Contributes to systems and processes changes in work routines.-Works to achieve operational targets that impact team results.
