What are the responsibilities and job description for the Electro-Mechanical Assembler position at Acara Solutions?
Acara solutions is looking for Electro-Mechanical assemblers for our partner located in San Leandro, CA who specializes in defense product manufacturing.
Here is what you will get:
Pay Rate: $30-$34/hr
Schedule: 9/80 Schedule, employees work 9 out of every 14 days - Totaling 80 hours worked and have every other Friday off.
What you will be doing:
- Performs electrical and mechanical assembly work utilizing blueprints and operation sheets
- Uses standard hand tools and various epoxies to perform operations
- Perform work with microscopes for lengthy periods of time
- Interfaces with quality assurance and test personnel to ensure sub assemblies are inspected and tested at specified checkpoints
- performs hand soldering, wiring, and assembling small complex components
- Perform rework and repairs
- Performs limited, intermittent physical exertion. Works under acceptable conditions with some distraction due to occasional exposure to noise, dust, heat or chemicals
Required Skills / Qualifications:
- Requires a High school diploma or a GED
- Minimum 7 years of electro-mechanical assembly
- Ability to read operation sheets and moderately complex blueprints
- Requires Soldering skills
- Knowledge of electronic components and color codes
- Ability to pass IPC J-STD-001
- May be required to obtain a security clearance
