Acara Solutions has been providing advanced manufacturing firms nationally with our staffing services for over 65 years. Our Long Island, NY electronics client has a salaried direct opening for an Engineering Lab Manager . The salary range is $120K - $150K. This is an onsite position. Engineering Lab Manager is required to support the assembly / alignment / testing of RF / Microwave electronic component assemblies starting with PC sub-assemblies to modules to system 's, modules and top-level system testing.Design and creation of system interface test fixturing.Review of customer performance specifications (EQ spec) and customer supplied documentation :
- Parts / Material / Process program requirements.
- Top level system test requirements including Thermal Cycling, Thermal Vacuum, Vibration, Shock and EMI testing.Generation of engineering required documentation :
- Failure reports (if required)
- Discrepant Material Report (DMR)
- Recovery Test Plans.
- Engineering change notices for customer review and internal component updates.
- End Item Data Packages for submittal to customer for review and acceptance
- Data management (storage and maintaining of test data for company review and accessibility)Test support for engineers, technicians, engineering associates : a. Tools (universal for RF / Microwave assemblies)b. Test equipment (specific to each program)c. Equipment rental / purchase.Technical understanding of typical system designs : a. Passive designs (power dividers, lowpass / highpass / bandpass filters, crystal filters)b. Active designs (oscillators, amplifiers, multipliers, phase locked loops, )c.
