Acara Solutions is looking for a Long Term Care Pharmacist for one of our clients in Lancaster, PAScope of Responsibilities : Oversees operations of the Pharmacy department. Relies on experience and professional judgment to plan and accomplish assigned tasks and goals. Pay : $130,000-140,000 per year Job Summary : Responsible for the implementation and adherence to the HealthDirect Standard of Practice as it relates to the provision of the highest quality health care service to our customers.Job Duties : Follows the HealthDirect Standard of Practice to dispense prescriptionsPerforms all quality assurance steps to insure a technically accurate prescription is dispensed. Reports dispensing incidents in a timely manner, in accordance with company guidelinesFollows all State and Federal regulations governing the practice of PharmacyOversees the initial submission, resubmission and collection of all third party claimsManages and balances the pharmacy inventory to ensure maximum turns while still remaining in-stock for customer needs.Insures prescription files and other manual records are maintained in accordance with all state and federal guidelinesInsure outstanding customer service is exhibited by all employees at all timesInsure all loss Prevention policies are followed by all employees and report deviations from said policies to Loss PreventionOversees the maintenance of the pharmacy department to insure a clean and professional environmentMaintains and develops professional relationships with doctors and others in the health service professionsMaintains an awareness of developments in the Pharmacy and Health Care Services fields that relate to job responsibilities and integrates them into own practiceMaintains confidentiality regarding all patient informationFacilitates communication between professional staff and pharmacy personnel.Work on-call schedule, where applicableInteracts with Facility Manager in the appropriate completion of hiring practices, performance reviews and disciplinary actions of pharmacy department personnel.Perform MTM, IMMR, short stay reviews, delivery at discharge, and other clinical functions to support consultant pharmacists and maintain compliance at customer locations.
