Acara Solution is seeking a Mechanical Engineer for it's client in Arcade, NY. This position primarily and inherently includes continuous engineering support of all existing products including BOM Creation, Drawing Creation, Documentation Release, Continuous Improvement, Cost Reduction and Innovation. The successful candidate should have knowledge of machine design. The annual salary will be 90 to 110K annually with profit sharing, Medical, Dental, Life Insurance, 401k plan, and PTO. Main Responsibilities : -Thorough understanding of customer's requirements, both articulated and unarticulated.-Rigorous scientific method of product design. Fact based design, test first, statistically significant data collection. Repeatability of test results.-Timely completion of assignments.-Effectively plans to meet or exceed customer's expectations.-Supporting Production for multi-channel products. -Process development & documentation, troubleshooting process problems, developing & improving tooling.-Create 3D models, engineering drawings, work instructions.-Apply Design-For-Manufacturing and Design-For-Assembly.-Follow prototype and first-builds through the assembly floor to confirm designs are buildable and perform properly.-Get feedback from operators and apply things learned to improve design and assembly processRequired Skills / Qualifications : 5 years' experience with machine designExperience with creating 3D Models of components and assemblies in CAD.Understand electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic or mechanical schematics or Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.Proficiency with software, including Excel and Word.
