Qualifications and Skills:
- 5 Yrs of experience in manual testing of web and/or mobile applications.
- Strong knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC).
- Proficiency in creating detailed test plans and test cases.
- Hands-on experience with bug tracking tools like JIRA, Bugzilla, or similar.
- Basic understanding of database queries for backend validation.
- Familiarity with Agile and Scrum methodologies.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on project requirements.
- Perform functional, regression, integration, and system testing on software applications.
- Identify, document, and track bugs using defect tracking tools.
- Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and ensure test coverage.
- Validate application functionalities against defined requirements and report test results.
- Participate in requirement analysis, design review, and sprint planning meetings.
- Ensure adherence to QA processes and best practices throughout the development lifecycle.
- Maintain detailed documentation of testing activities and prepare reports for management.
- Assist in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and production rollout.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Postman) is a plus.
- Experience with API testing and performance testing tools.
- Familiarity with 508 compliance testing or accessibility standards is a bonus.
