Job Title: Immigration Paralegal (Russian and/or Turkish Speaking)
Job Description:
Our growing law firm is seeking an experienced Immigration Paralegal who is fluent in Russian and/or Turkish. The ideal candidate is a motivated self-starter with a strong background in immigration law, capable of handling cases from start to finish with minimal supervision. This role involves direct client communication, preparing and filing immigration applications, and supporting attorneys in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
Prepare and file family-based and employment-based immigration petitions, asylum applications, adjustment of status, naturalization, VAWA, U visas, and related filings
Draft affidavits, legal correspondence, and supporting documents
Conduct client intakes and maintain regular communication in Russian and/or Turkish
Manage deadlines and ensure timely filings
Maintain organized case files and update case management systems
Assist attorneys in preparing for USCIS interviews and immigration court hearings
Requirements:
Minimum 2 years of experience as an immigration paralegal
Fluency in Russian and/or Turkish required
Strong writing, organizational, and communication skills
Ability to work independently and handle multiple cases simultaneously
Familiarity with USCIS procedures and EOIR practice preferred
Location: Exchange Place/Jersey City across Path
Job Type: Full-time on site
Compensation: Commensurate with experience
