What are the responsibilities and job description for the Auctions Listing Specialist position at ACBJ?
Customer Management –
- Excellent verbal and nonverbal communication skills with a variety of audiences
- Set expectations for sellers on the auction process
- Keep sellers updated on their vehicles' progress through the different stages
- Deliver and support vehicle reserve recommendations and negotiations
- Work with sellers to address and respond to questions from Hemmings community
- Deliver a cohesive and premium experience for sellers throughout their process
- Support ad hoc auction related issues (e.g. creating accounts, registering to bid, etc)
- Work with your Seller during last day of auction to help finalize an auction
Auction Listing Management - Auctions Listing Specialists are expected to help build, update, and manage auctions listings as needed to ensure quick response for our sellers and maximize the available inventory. Listings will be built and updated following the format defined by the Auctions Editor.
- Collaborate with seller, editor and writers to deliver a compelling and high-quality listing
- Update auction listings with new information and photos when necessary
- Stay informed with data and analytics that support your Seller vehicle
- Manage listing approvals and ensure updates are made in a timely manner
- Review comments and questions on live auction listings to moderate any offensive or negative comments
- Support seller throughout the auction process to ensure they are responsive to questions and comments from potential buyers
- Proactively address concerns when needed to ensure a seller maximizes the value of their auction listing
Digital Expertise - Hemmings Auctions is a digital platform and guiding customers through the process will require the Auction Listing Specialist to be well versed in the use of digital technology platforms. The Auction Listing Specialist will contribute to defining tools and processes in collaboration with the Hemmings Auctions staff.
- Experience leveraging digital tools to manage customer workflows (e.g. CRM)
- Expertise in standard digital business tools (Word, Excel, Email, etc.)
- Editing photos and video
Automotive Knowledge - A majority of the customer-facing communications will revolve around the vehicle they are selling and it's specific details. Whilst automotive expertise is not required, some automotive knowledge is expected to understand the context and importance of different components.
- Familiarity in a breadth of popular collector car makes, models, categories etc
- Basic understanding of parts and systems for modern and vintage automobiles
Compensation: 18.00/hour plus benefits
