What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sales Development Representative position at ACBJ?
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Qualify inbound advertising leads for potential opportunities;
- Ensure that outside Account Executives (AEs) are made aware of opportunities within their existing accounts;
- Converse with potential advertisers and agencies via phone, email, and virtual meetings to ensure advertising requests are met promptly;
- Create and close opportunities within new accounts;
- Create and close opportunities within existing accounts determined by management;
- Disposition unqualified leads;
- Schedule introductions and meetings between customers and AEs when opportunities are uncovered;
- Be proficient and engage in social selling to acquire new prospects in the pipeline.
Key Skills:
- Communication skills: In most cases the SDR is the first point of contact with potential advertisers. Excellent communication skills are essential to this role. You will be managing relationships with customers, National and Local Sales teams, our Marketing team, and members in other areas of the organization.
- Project management skills: As an SDR you will be responsible for managing customers leads, creating advertising opportunities for new business, ensuring local Account Executives connect with clients in a timely manner, all with a focus on achieving goals and ensuring pipeline growth.
- Time management skills: Must work as part of a team but also be able to work independently and manage your own calendar and engagement with customers and local teams.
- Selling skills: SDRs need to be personable and always put the customer first. Be able to understand customers' needs and equate those to ACBJ offerings.
- Technical skills: Work primarily in HubSpot Sales Hub and be able to create opportunities in Salesforce with a focus on making sure all activities are documented.
Qualifications:
- 2 years or more SDR/BDR/outside Sales experience
- Proven track record of success and goal attainment in a sales-oriented role
- A hard-working team player that is never satisfied in achieving the status quo and hates to lose
- Quick learner who is able to translate internal offerings and products to customers in laymen's terms easily
- Individual must be proficient using MS Office products and Web Based Communication platforms (ie; Webex, Teams, Zoom, etc.)
- This role will be located in Charlotte, NC
Compensation: $45K - $75K (base potential bonus earnings)
