What you will be doing... Your IMPACT
- Make repairs to main engines, generators, auxiliary machinery, and other systems on vessels
- Track, schedule, and perform preventive maintenance on main engines and generator engines
- Maintain all documentation and other required paperwork associated with the repairs and maintenance of vessels
- Maintain inventory of spare parts and materials for the repairs of vessels
- Maintain documentation of repairs in maintenance database
- Assist outside vendors regarding repairs
- Performs all other duties as assigned
What we are looking for...
You will need to have:
- 10 years marine mechanical maintenance experience and repairs of associated equipment. Prior towboat troubleshooting and engine overhaul experience required.
- High School Diploma/GED is required
- Must be proficient with electrical and mechanical troubleshooting techniques and tools
- Must be proficient in basic computer tools
- Must possess and maintain an active TWIC
- Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license
- Must be able to be on-call weekends and nights during assigned weeks
- Perform all work in accordance with ACBL safety & environmental policies and USCG regulations
- Must follow ACBL’s Safety Management System for Vessel Engineering, Maintenance, and Repair activities
