What are the responsibilities and job description for the Fleet Services Representative position at ACBL Transportation Services LLC?
Summary:
Coordinates and oversees the general maintenance of equipment and machinery. Assigns labor force to complete the cleaning and repair of barges to meet customer deadlines. Assists in preparing work schedules for contracted staff inspecting completed projects to ensure work meets quality standards.
Essential Duties/Functions:
Coordinates and oversees day to day barge cleaning and repair operations.
Conducts morning job briefings, and safety meeting with Team Members and contractors.
Coordinate outside contractors, cleaning, and repair team.
Perform environmental facility walk through (daily, weekly, and monthly) and file necessary reports in compliance with DEQ standards.
Serves as safety leader for worksite and coaches Team Members on best practices.
Communicate information regarding barge availability related to cleaning and repair.
Conduct spot audits to ensure quality of work and conformance with company and Federal requirements.
Oversees and directs Team Members providing maintenance, safety, and upkeep of facility.
Order materials, supplies, and tools to ensure a continual workflow process with minimal interruptions. Performs other duties as assigned.
Education Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED is required.
Years of Experience:
3 Years of Barge or Shipyard repair experience is required. Experience leading Team Members is desired.
Demands:
- Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license.
- Must possess and maintain a valid TWIC.
- Knowledge of barging operations and river systems is required.
- Crane Operator certification preferred.
- Knowledge of USCG, OSHA, SDS regulations is required
- Proficiency in using MS Office software products is preferred.
- Willingness to work additional hours/weekends to meet deadlines.
