Inside Sales Representative

We are a locally owned, full-service institutional food service distributor specializing in the distribution of quality foods to restaurants, schools, and institutional facilities in and around Georgia. Based in Leesburg, Georgia, we employ over 40 full-time employees and 60 plus full-time, temporary employees through various staffing agencies. We offer a wide variety of employment opportunities from warehouse, forklift operators, supervisors, accounting, customer service, sales, and drivers.

Outside Sales Job Responsibilities:

• Determining customers’ needs and recommending appropriate products and solutions.
• Following a product /supply checklist for each customer’s job and up-selling additional products and supplies.
• Entering sales orders.
• Accepting payment and applying it to the appropriate customer accounts.
• Following up on deliveries to ensure the product has arrived on time with all items accounted for.
• Addressing and resolving service concerns, should they arise.
• Professionally promote the company’s products and services.
• Following a pre-established CDR route system, visit all stores, take orders accurately, recommend products, and introduce new items.
• Issue credits for returns and damaged goods.
• Follow all company price adjustment guidelines, and see management approvals for offering a price other than that which has been pre-established.
• Report in by 4:00 pm all orders, ensuring that each is complete and contains all accurate information.
• Bring to the attention of management any discontinued items that would disrupt the customer's business, making recommendations or potential items for substitution.
• Develop and deliver informative sales presentations based on individual customer needs to maximize market share.
• Accurately complete routine collection reports on a daily/weekly basis.
• Complete other related duties as assigned, including supporting company initiatives.

Outside Sales Skills and Qualifications:

• Skills necessary to meet to exceed sales goals and objectives.

• Ability to work in the field 90% of the time.
• PC proficient.
• Valid driver’s license, proof of insurance, and satisfactory driving history
• Acts with a flexible, team, and goal-oriented approach.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, especially Word and Excel.

Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements:

• High school diploma, GED, required.
• 1-3 yr. experience; or equivalent combination of training and experience.

Requirements:

• 40 hours per week
