What are the responsibilities and job description for the Scale House Operator Relief position at ACC Florida LLC?
What you'll do:
- Operates scale to weigh incoming and outgoing trucks.
- Ensures appropriate information on tickets for each truck including customer, job, and weight of product.
- Accepts checks or cash payments and records accordingly, to be turned over to Accounts Receivable.
- Provides customer information as required, answering basic questions regarding type, quality, quantity, and timeliness of deliveries. May forward customers to sales department for further assistance if needed.
- Generates daily, weekly and monthly reports of activity.
- Compiles daily reports including Daily Production Sales and Inventory (DPSI) and Customer Summary Reports of crushed concrete materials sold.
- Records petty cash receipts and disbursements, completes and logs all sales receipts, and submits to accounts payable for reimbursement of petty cash account.
- Answers phone, assists drivers as needed, and supports Sales on customer orders as needed.
- Performs other duties as required or assigned.
- General clerical office duties as assigned when not serving as Scalehouse relief
What you'll need:
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment and stay organized
- Able to work in multiple locations as needed in a relief role
- Able to communicate orally and in writing
- Experience with Microsoft Office programs, including Word, Excel, Outlook
- Meet attendance schedule with dependability and consistency
- Previous scale house experience desired, but not required
Working Conditions:
- Able to stand for several hours per day and work for long periods without a break.
- Able to work in dusty, noisy environment.
- Ability to lift and carry 20 lbs.
