Pay Range: $20-21.50/HR

GENERAL SUMMARY:
The ACC Care Center Activity Assistant is responsible for the daily operation of the activity department and transportation for scenic outings. This is an hourly (non-exempt) position. This position reports to the Life Enrichment Director.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:
- Assists LE Director in planning and organizing various activities.
- Meets the residents' needs and interests, per resident abilities / physical limitations.
- Documents participation in PCC; documents activity attendance.
- Responsible for driving company vehicle and properly securing residents into vehicle for scenic drives/outings.
- Sets up, leads, and cleans up all activities.
- Transports residents via wheelchair to/from activities; supervises residents during activities for potential fall risks/safety precautions.
- Engages residents during activities via conversation & instruction per activity needs.
- Runs reports, creates documents to reflect reports.
- Follows resident diet textures and fluid consistencies accurately during parties, special events, and with hydration cart.
- Assists and directs volunteer staff to ensure activities run smoothly.
- Decorates facility with monthly holiday and theme decorations.
- Provides 1:1 room visits to residents as needed.
- Responsible for feeding ACC Care Center birds and fish.
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma/GED required.
- Experience in skilled nursing or related field preferred.
- Excellent verbal/written English communication skills; bilingual Chinese a plus.
- Proficiency with Word and Excel.
- Licensed driver with clean driving record; must be 21 or over to drive ACC vehicle.
- Sunday-Thursday 8am-4:30pm work schedule; must be able to work a flexible schedule according to changing department needs; ability to work holidays and some evenings/shift work is required.
- Medical terminology, knowledge of geriatrics and knowledge of state and federal regulations including Title XXII and OBRA a plus.
- Must follow all safety precautions.
Salary : $20 - $22
