Position Summary : The Director of Total Rewards & HRIS is the subject matter expert and internal consultant on Total Rewards (e.g. compensation, benefits, Leave, and HRIS) initiatives and is responsible for leading the overall design, implementation, communication and administration of the organization’s benefits and compensation programs. This is a hands-on, key leadership position within the HR team and supervises a team of employees to assist them in accomplishing this work.
Total Rewards : Ensures that the benefits, compensation and Leave programs support the organization’s strategic objectives, employer brand proposition, attract and retain the best talent, and create a positive employee experience, while meeting legal requirements.
HRIS : Oversees the design, implementation, and optimization of our Human Resources Information System (HRIS) responsible for ensuring the seamless integration of HRIS solutions with our organization's objectives, enhancing efficiency, and driving innovation in HR processes.
Leadership : Lead and develop a top talent team of total reward staff to successfully execute team initiatives including : Sr Total Rewards Analyst, Sr HRIS Analyst, LOA Coordinator (part time), Total Rewards Coordinator (part time).
Benefits and Leave of Absence :
- Provides strategic leadership in the design, development, implementation, administration, and communication of the Company’s benefits and Leave programs.
- Manages relationships with vendors, brokers, and carriers, including monitoring service levels, costs, utilization, and other metrics to ensure a positive employee experience and value to the organization.
- Partners with benefit broker to understand market trends and assess, design, and refine the Company’s benefits strategy to ensure the company is positioned competitively to attract and retain talent.
- Develops strategy for communication and education about benefit and Leave programs.
- Leads employee recognition and well-being strategies and initiatives.
Manages compliance requirements including, but not limited to, ERISA, FMLA, COBRA, HIPAA, ACA, Form 5500 filings, OSHA, nondiscrimination testing, and audits utilizing established vendors.
Leads continuous improvement of processes and procedures to drive efficiencies, reduce manual processes, and improve the employee experience.Compensation :
Defines and communicates overall compensation philosophy for the organization.Leads ongoing research and compensation analysis to support business decision making to remain competitive in the market.Leads annual compensation market reviews and recommends changes as needed.Manages data in the Compensation Management system and ensures system capabilities are being fully utilized.Provides guidance and consultation to HR and leadership on pay decisions, policies, and practices.Ensures compliance with employment-related federal and state statutory requirements regarding employee pay, staying up to date on current compensation-related legislationLeads annual merit review process.Partners on the creation and administration of incentive plans for the organizationPartners with Finance to develop and prepare analyses for budget planning process.Assists in preparations for board meetings. Creates and executes training in total rewards.HRIS :
Lead the implementation and upgrade of HRIS systems, ensuring successful deployment and integration.Oversee system configurations, customizations, and updates to meet evolving business requirements.Manage relationships with HRIS vendors and stay current on industry trends and best practices.Consistently strives to simplify and evolve the delivery of the HRIS team services.Develops and utilizes appropriate and related HR analytics.Proactively identifies, defines, and solves complex HRIS and broad impact business-related issues.Establish and enforce data integrity standards and protocols within the HRIS to ensure accuracy and confidentiality.Implement robust security measures to safeguard sensitive HR information.Develop and deliver training programs for HR staff and end-users to maximize the utilization of HRIS capabilities.Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting for HRIS-related issues.Design and generate custom reports and analytics to provide meaningful insights for HR and organizational decision-making.Utilize data to identify trends, measure key performance indicators, and drive data-driven decision-making.Education Qualifications :
Bachelor’s degree or higher education required or equivalent experience.Professional Qualifications :
At least 10 years of progressive experience in Human Resources with at least 3 years of people management experience.Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) or Certified Employee Benefit Specialist (CEBS) preferred.3 years experience with UKG / Ultimate / Ultipro software, required.Experience managing benefits and compensation in coordination with a Human Resource Information System (HRIS) and Compensation Management System platform. Experience with Payfactors / Payscale is a plus.
