We are looking for our Direct Client Full Time Hire for Financial Controller Madison Heights, MI (Onsite).
Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, operate, maintain and control the essential operating systems, information, and financial business of the company
- Responsible for closing the books on a monthly basis, including preparation of all supporting schedules and reports for both internal and external reporting purposes
- Book journals and reconcile all key accounts in support of the monthly close process
- Lead the accounting department and manage staff
- Prepare and report on company budgets and forecasts
- Lead in the implementation of accounting policies and procedures
- Ensure that reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements and disclosures for filing of quarterly and annual reports with the Securities and Exchange Commission
- Work closely with external auditors to provide information needed for the quarterly reviews and annual audit
- Maintain knowledge of developments and trends in finance and administration including technological advances
- Lead and manage implementation of new systems and major modifications of existing systems to increase company efficiencies
Skills Needed:

- Recent manufacturing industry experience needed
- Bachelor s degree in business/accounting required
- Prior experience as a Financial Controller or 5 public accounting experience required
- Certified Public Accountant status highly desired
- Full-suite ERP experience preferred
