Job Title: Registered Sonographer (Perm)
About the Job
This role involves providing mobile ultrasound services to various nursing homes, home care facilities, prisons, and processing sites throughout regions serviced by Diagnostic Laboratories.
Responsibilities:
- Transport and unload portable sonographic equipment for exams ordered by physicians.
- Perform and process ultrasounds using portable sonographic equipment and digitally send images to radiologists for interpretation.
- Obtain clinically diagnostic, technically competent images.
- Scan exam-related paperwork/billing on a daily basis per protocol.
- Communicate regularly with peers, management, dispatch department, and clients.
Physical Demands:
The Sonographer may lift equipment weighing up to 20 pounds and requires initiating force of 10 lbs. and sustained force of 5-8 pounds when pulling a wheeled cart for up to 250 feet.
