Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Certified Medication Aide (CMA) to join our team at Accel at College Station. As a CMA, you will play a vital role in preparing, administering, and documenting medications given to residents under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) within regulatory time frames.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and administer oral, topical, and suppository medications to residents as prescribed by the physician.
- Count and calculate dosages on a daily basis and document the number of scheduled drugs at the beginning and end of each shift.
- Report any observations concerning resident/patient condition, emergency situations, or difficulties with medications to the supervising nurse throughout the shift should they occur.
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you must have a high school diploma or equivalent and be a CMA in good standing. Six months of experience as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), preferably in a long-term care facility, is also required. Additionally, you must possess exceptional organization skills, effective communication skills, and interpersonal relations.
