We are seeking a Software Developer to contribute to the Statewide Elections Information Management Systems (SEIMS) modernization project. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing business-critical applications, ensuring compliance with election-related security and performance standards.
This role requires a skilled developer with expertise in C#, JavaScript, Razor, tSQL, Blazor/MVC, and Azure DevOps to work in a fast-paced environment that prioritizes accuracy, security, and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, code, test, and maintain software systems supporting SEIMS modernization.
- Develop scalable applications, APIs, and database components to support election system operations.
- Troubleshoot applications and implement improvements based on system needs.
- Work collaboratively within an Agile/Scrum environment to deliver high-quality solutions.
- Create technical documentation for application development and system modifications.
- Identify, document, and replicate issues found in production or testing environments.
Qualifications
- 5 years of software development experience, with expertise in enterprise-level applications.
- Strong programming experience in C#, JavaScript, Razor, and tSQL.
- Proficiency in Blazor/MVC and Azure DevOps (must be noted in the application).
- Experience with MS SQL Server 2016 for developing stored procedures, views, and queries.
- Strong understanding of object-oriented development, web application development, and Agile methodologies.
- Experience in distributed and enterprise-oriented application development.
- Knowledge of security protocols, cloud computing (Azure), and Windows environments.
- Proficiency in version control software (Git), reporting tools (SSRS), and Microsoft Office applications.
