Position Summary / Primary Purpose
Our Event Sales Specialists are responsible for the intake of client inquiries, maintaining relations with our current clients while managing and growing their portfolio of clients and revenue through sales and execution of successful events. Success of our Event Sales Specialist stems from client relationship management, portfolio growth, teamwork and effective communication.
Essential Functions
- Provide accurate and timely responses to client inquiries via phone, email, or walk in.
- Provide the client options from our available inventory, at times creatively thinking of ways to utilize our product for different purposes.
- Enhance customer experience by suggesting products and/or services that are fitting for the client’s needs.
- Contribute to the development of strategic plans to grow Accel’s revenue and reach new and existing clients through upsells, strategic offerings, and customized services.
- Identify and promote high margin products.
- Identify if/when a site visit is necessary to ensure the success of our Operations team.
- Organize and maintain all client intake requests through a variety of channels – email, phone calls, walk-ins, texts and Kenect – ensuring clients are responded to in a timely and professional manner.
- Communicate pertinent details and changes proactively with clients and Accel team members to set the Operations team up for success.
- Support rigorous adherence to the responsibilities of the sales life cycle. (i.e. obtaining a signed client contract, terms and conditions, ensuring deposit and final payment.
- Participate in industry meetings and events to maintain Accel’s industry presence and further reputational positioning.
- Other duties as assigned.

- Demonstrated experience leading client sales and relationship teams.
- Excellent multi-talking, coordination and attention to detail
- Friendly, approachable and creative problem-solving skills.
- Computer literacy, familiarity with Microsoft Office QuickBooks, Current RMS, Card Pointe.
Experience Required
Minimum 5 years’ work experience as a customer service/sales leader. Experience working in the events industry in Hawaii, preferred. Demonstrated ability to lead and manage large client relationships. Able to demonstrate clear communication, multi-tasking, and execution of complex instructions under tight deadlines. Able to demonstrate diligence and proactive results driven work ethic. Superior communication, organization and customer responsiveness skills.

Work Environment
This position regularly requires hours from 8am-5pm with the possibility of long hours depending on what is needed. This position primarily operates in an office environment with the potential to work from home but may require some onsite client visits.
