K-5 Gifted Education Facilitator at Banning Lewis Ranch Academy
Banning Lewis Ranch Academy is seeking a dedicated and experienced Gifted (GT) Teachers to support our elementary students. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of the unique characteristics of gifted learners. This role involves collaborating with classroom teachers to design and implement differentiated instruction that challenges and engages gifted students, in addition to planning and programming pull our services for both the students identified as gifted and demonstrating potential for giftedness.

Compensation And Benefits

The annual starting salary for this position is $50,000. Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
We offer the following benefits for full-time positions, subject to applicable eligibility requirements: medical insurance, dental insurance, vision insurance, 401(k) retirement plan, life insurance, long-term disability insurance, short-term disability insurance, 10 paid holidays annually. All eligible employees will participate in Colorado’s Family & Medical Leave Insurance Program, in accordance with state law.
Paid Time Off: The amount of Paid Time Off (PTO) employees accrue is determined by both their position and the length of their employment term. Employees could accrue up to 10 days of paid time off for 10-month roles, 11 days of paid time off for 11-month roles and 15 days of paid time off for 12-month roles.
We offer several plans to choose from, with a wide range of deductibles and co- insurance levels. We offer plans with set co-pays for certain medical services, as well as a high deductible plan with set co-insurance levels after deductibles have been met. All plans offer both in-network and out-of-network coverage. We also offer flexible spending and health savings accounts.

- Program Development:
- Design and facilitate enrichment programs and activities that promote intellectual curiosity and a passion for discovery among gifted students.
- Stay informed about current research and best practices in gifted education to ensure program effectiveness.
- Assessment and Identification:
- Administer and interpret assessments, including the CogAT, to identify gifted students.
- Create impactful and compliant Advanced Learning Plans (ALPs).
- Maintain accurate records of student assessments and progress.
- Instructional Support:
- Collaborate with classroom teachers to develop and implement extension activities that differentiate instruction for gifted learners.
- Provide resources and strategies to teachers to support the academic and social-emotional needs of gifted students.
- Communication and Collaboration:
- Engage with parents, teachers, and administrators to communicate student progress and program goals.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge in gifted education.
- Valid Colorado Teaching License; gifted educator endorsement preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in Education or related field; a master's degree in Gifted Education is preferred.
- 3-5 years of classroom teaching experience, with experience teaching gifted students.
- Demonstrated knowledge of the unique characteristics and needs of gifted learners.
- Experience administering and interpreting the CogAT or similar assessments.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills.
